As demand for electric vehicles (EVs) powered by electricity grows, so does the need for quality copper products. Copper is also prominently used in wire harnesses, the demands for which are getting stricter as more electronics are installed into the vehicles. Wires must withstand mechanical stress and temperature changes. Upcast units provide copper-magnesium and other alloys that can be processed into a cable that is durable, flexible and thin, minimising its weight contribution to the vehicle.
