At the forefront of Lämneå Bruk’s showcase will be the No Twist Coiler – a machine that has been under continuous development since 1992. Offering increases in output during wire drawing and uncoiling processes without additional adjustment to the existing line set-up, the company sees the No Twist Coiler as a demonstration of its commitment to innovation. There will be live demonstrations daily at 9:45am, 10:45am, 1:45pm and 3:45pm (except on Friday, when the last demonstration will be at 2:45pm).

Reel with adapter plates as part of a ring winding system

“Our reel is truly personalised in every respect,” said sales representative Marco Kreuzkam. “The product or the winding parameters requested by the customer determine the dimensions, but the real highlight are our adapters. This makes it possible to precisely increase the most important parameters such as winding width, core diameter and therefore the bending radius. This allows one reel to be used cost effectively for winding several products.” Kurre now offers a wide range of reels that have already been converted and are used to wind products such as copper cables, rubber hoses and wire ropes. In operation, the reel is initially connected manually or automatically. After the winding process, the operator activates a pusher located in the centre of the reel. The holding plates immediately fall outwards and the ring can be easily removed. Further processes such as order picking can be connected directly. The reel has a solid design and is constructed for a long service life. Visitors to the Kurre stand at wire 2024 will see the functionality for themselves, as well as finding information about the construction of special machines and the adaptability of the systems.
