Devices for coils and carriers Tramev produces machinery and equip ment for the metallic wire and cable sector.

The products built in its production unit in Cesana Brianza, Italy, meet European environmental standards and quality control regulations. Since 1977 the company has been producing support, rotation and motion devices for coils and carriers for wire rod and drawn wire. It has experience in drawing workshops, nuts and bolts and chain production, and can solve problems arising from unwinding, stocking and moving or transport. Tramev produces both standard and special devices, depending on the request, to improve productivity and to rationalise stocking spaces and loading of wire coils, using a wide range of machines for mechanical working and carpentry. This results in the smooth, tangle- and twist free payout that differentiates Reelex from other packaging methods.” The Reelex I and II payout tube designs have been used for many types of low voltage and data cables for decades. Reelex Air is an evolution of the standard Reelex II package, allowing for reduced package sizes and smoother payout performance while using less material. Using 40 per cent less plastic than Reelex II and 85 per cent less than Reel-in-a-Box, the new tube design also allows box sizes to be narrower, reducing the amount of cardboard used. By allowing the coil to compress and removing negative space, Reelex Air offers a saving of up to 75mm (3") in package width compared to existing Reelex II packaging. This results in a potential 25 to 50 per cent increase in shipping density compared to standard Reelex II boxes, depending on product type. Reelex Air is available now to all licensees through Reelex’s payout tube manufacturing, sales and distribution partner, Axjo AB. Reelex Packaging Solutions, Inc www.reelex.com
