In-line wire pre-treatment technology Walsin Lihwa operates in the research and development of basic materials and relevant technology applications to gradually implement smart manu- facturing processes. In line with its efforts to mitigate operating impacts on the environment and its objectives for future development, the company has invested in wire in-line pre-treatment technology from WiTechs for its production lines in China and Taiwan.

friendly production, the units enable fast paced manufacturing processes, and are provided with the latest Siemens human machine interface and software. Through efficient inventory management and close ties with suppliers, WiTechs has been able to ensure timely delivery of its machines despite uncertainty in the global supply chain as a result of the pandemic. Founded in 2007, WiTechs is mechanical engineering company that specialises in wire in-line pre-treatment, with a service range consisting of wire payoffs and systems for the mechanical descaling of wire and coating and cleaning of wire. WiTechs BV www.witechs.com “The expansion of our metal trade fair portfolio towards Turkey is important and necessary to ensure continued growth in the market and to match our exhibitors’ changed needs,” said Daniel Ryfisch, director of Messe Düsseldorf’s wire, Tube and Flow Technologies portfolio. Further information and registration documents will be available at: “We are also committed to building and continually upgrading all our plants using the latest technologies available, thereby ensuring a safe, secure and healthy future for all our stakeholders and communities. Achieving net zero in the steel industry will require major upgrades and capital investments in steel mills, and the initiative will have to be taken at both an industry and policy level.” Burkhard Dahmen, CEO and chairman of the managing board of SMS group, commented, “Our know-how and experience in metallurgy combined with our digital expertise and plant technology are enabling SMS group and JSW Steel to create a greener metals industry.” SMS group GmbH www.sms-group.com JSW Steel www.jsw.in www.wire-eurasia.com www.tube-eurasia.com

The order includes a number of machines, including several SEZ-6-302 belt grinding descalers and HSBE-3302 wire cleaning and coating machines. The SEZ-6-302 is designed to grind pre-descaled wire rod or wire of any other quality that has been pre-treated by other means. The HSBE 3302 system was developed for coating steel wire prior to further processing. Both machines apply to various wire diameters up to a maximum of 34mm. In addition to their environmentally two events are held by Tüyap Fair Istanbul, a Turkish trade fair organiser and venue operator, at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center. From 2025, wire and Tube Eurasia will be organised as independent trade fairs at two-year intervals. 2023 will see the two existing Turkish trade fairs extended to include the new trade fairs wire and Tube Eurasia, with the focal segments being wire, cable and their manufacturing and processing; and tubes and pipes, pipe production, pipe finishing and trade.
