New HFFR compounds introduced
ELECTRIC Cable Compounds (ECC), a supplier of elastomeric and polyolefin-based cross-linkable and thermoplastic compounds, has expanded its moisture cross-linkable product portfolio with the development of three new halogen-free, flame-retardant (HFFR) compounds. As a solution for low-voltage wire insulation and jacketing applications such as building wire, control cables, tray cables, photovoltaic, and power and telecom jacketing, ECC offers AquaGraft® 7020 and AquaGraft 8020. Both are HFFR, moisture cross-linkable systems designed to meet UL 1685 requirements. AquaGraft 7020 has an FT2 flame rating, while AquaGraft 8020 provides FT4 flame performance. Another addition to ECC’s product line is AquaGraft 61-7125. This compound is a 125°C HFFR, moisture cross-linkable system for automotive low-voltage electrical applications, meeting the requirements of SAE J1127, SAE J1128 and ISO 6722.
