demand, with an environment-friendly approach. The range of Mixer products for medium-voltage insulation is now comprehensive, and includes harder or exible products, grades for single-core or multi-core cables and for an operating voltage from 6 to 95kV, and with lead or lead-free. The Ekopren MV products are suitable for operating temperatures of 90°C and 105°C and are compliant to international standards. To provide a complete package, Mixer can suggest a match with semi-conductive shields that have been tested for peelability and compatibility with its products. The latest versions of Mixer’s grades, arising from its commitment to provide customers with added value, are claimed to enable faster and easier production. Ekopren 3IS73F and 3IS75F were optimised to reach higher speed in extrusion; with decreased hardness, these compounds avoid scorch issues and o er enhanced exibility. Ekopren 3IS73L and 3IS75L grades feature cost e ciency and owing process with a voltage rating between 6 and 20kV. Mixer SpA www.mixercompounds.com MTT will exhibit extruders, screws and barrels, as well as cleaning machines and micro- nishing equipment for extruder parts and extrusion tooling. MTT develops extruders for wire and cable production, with tech and standard polymers including uoropolymers, in elds such as automotive cables, communication cables, optical bre cables and special cables. Besides manufacturing extruders, the core business of MTT is the measure- ment, design recommendation and supply of screws, as well as customised retro ts of extrusion lines with an overall concept for the control, the electronics and the mechanics of the line. MTT also produces modern, e cient and environmentally friendly cleaning machines for screws, barrels, crossheads, wire guides, dies, breaker plates and injection moulds. During the special cleaning process there is no dimension increase or danger of surface damage of the part. MTT GmbH Stand: 10 C42-12
Smooth dies facilitate use of less material for the same electrical resistance speci cation. Applications and materials for Nano-Dies include compacting and stranding, wire and tube drawing, and rod breakdown for aluminium and alloys, copper, brass, low carbon and stainless steel. The company also o ers PCD dies and service. Its PCD range includes the latest advances in low-tolerance (ultra) ne wire diameter precision PCD from 12 microns in size upwards. Nano-Diamond advises customers to use both PCD and/or Nano-Dies wherever they are best suited, and to understand and take advantage of the di erences and bene ts around the way each type of die is intended to bene t. The company plans to open new o ces this year on the east coast of Australia. Nano-Diamond America, Inc www.nano-die.com Nevatia Steel & Alloys was incorporated in 1988, with corporate headquarters in Mumbai, India. Its plants, equipped with comprehensive modern manufacturing technologies, are situated in Tarapur, an industrial township strategically located close to the port of Mumbai. The company undertook an expansion drive in 1995, increasing wire production capacity to 3,000 MT per year. Today, with two plants, the combined stainless steel wire manufacturing capacity is 12,000 MT. Nevatia Steel’s wires are manufactured in compliance with international standards of quality, and in accordance with customers’ speci cations. Wires are made in a variety of grades in the size range 0.08 to 12mm, for demanding applications in various elds making springs, screws, rivets, nails, sieves, wire mesh, fasteners, wall ties, kitchenware, EPQ for baskets and trolleys, ller wire and electrodes. They are also used in automotive, marine, petrochemical, food and paper industries. The company’s products are exported around the world, including to Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, Turkey, the UK, the USA, Russia, Malaysia and Vietnam. Nano-Diamond America, Inc Stand: 11 B02
Nano-Diamond America is the supplier of Nano-Dies® to the wire and cable industries, and is the holder of the Nano-Dies® trademark. The company states that experience and feedback from customers builds and complements its technical product, application and process appreciation, and that more die manufacturers are seeing the bene ts gained from Nano-Dies and o ering their own versions of coated dies.
The Nano-Dies alternative
▲
Nano-Dies are optimal if seeking to reduce material waste, as they retain their original size and tolerance for the life of the die. They are also claimed to provide the best possible surface nish and/or lower electrical resistance for a given cable size – friction causes damage and increases electrical resistance. Nano-Dies have lower surface friction than PCD or tungsten carbide dies, and so do less damage to the micro-structure of the individual conductor.
