Lukas Anlagenbau, a family-owned manufacturer from Germany, produces customer-speci c equipment for the wire and cable industry. The focus of the products is on complete taping lines with taping materials including PTFE, Kapton, Mica, paper or metal. The company’s taping lines are also used for producing special cables for medical, aircraft and power applications. The product range covers single components such as payo s, capstans, caterpillars, sintering ovens and take-ups, and complete rewinding lines and ne wire drawing lines for non-ferrous materials. In October last year, Lukas Anlagenbau took over business from Erwin Neumann Drahtveredelungstechnik GmbH, and as a result extended its product range with electrolytic single-wire plating lines for tin, silver, nickel and copper. At wire Düsseldorf 2020, a horizontal taping machine will be exhibited.

With a new drive concept, Lukas ensures a further improvement of quality in taping technology. A hollow shaft drive together with a lightweight carbon head improves the running qualities – production speed can be increased and frictional wear is reduced. The design of the components has also been revised for easier handling and better serviceability.
