EuroWire March 2020
wire 2020 show
30 March – 3 April
If the production speed falls below the speci ed minimum speed, the pre-treatment is actively switched o to avoid production downtime. Leibinger will be presenting its solutions for coding extrusion products at wire 2020. Print heads specially developed for these applications adapt to the shape of the products to be printed, enabling higher marking speeds. The smallest diameters can be legibly marked with the high-speed printers, and with the Jet Rapid Wire PI, even dark materials can be marked with so-called contrast inks at speeds of up to 800m/min. Leibinger also has solutions for exible applications with frequent product changes. For example, a special ink is used that is easily legible on dark as well as light surfaces. This all-round solution eliminates the need to purchase several devices for printing di erent coloured cables, wires and tubes. Visitors to the show will be able to have cables or other product samples marked directly at the Leibinger stand. Paul Leibinger GmbH & Co KG www.leibinger-group.com
The company o ers a wide range of halogen-free Estane solutions for cable and wire manufacturers to meet demands for low gas conductivity, lower toxicity and high heat resistance. The new polymers are applied in electric vehicle (EV) charging cables and other speciality applications like robotic cables in automation, automotive and communication. Estane EV 90AT2 NAT 01 for EV charging cables complies with IEC 62893 and EN 50620 standards. Lubrizol TPUs are recyclable (subject to access to a recycling programme that supports such materials), and improve the processability in the manufacture of most cables. There are speci c Estane materials with matt appearance, and showing a consistent performance in thin cables. The cable industry’s trend for thinner cables with top mechanical properties drove Lubrizol technical experts to design and deliver new polymers that could satisfy this emerging demand. The Estane ZHF TPU portfolio has been expanded with several new products to o er a wide scope of solutions to satisfy the di erent requirements from wire and cable end applications.
Locton Ltd Stand: 11 F13
Locton is the manufacturer of both the ‘Lock on’ pulling in dog and the ‘Hush’ dog, and will be displaying a range of pulling in dogs from the smallest wire size range of 0-2.5mm to a large dog able to pull from 12 to 30.5mm. Also on display will be a variety of adaptors, hooks, block pegs, standard chains and chains encapsulated in polyurethane for block protection. Locton Ltd www.locton.co.uk
Lubrizol Stand: 14 E38
Lubrizol has expanded its Estane thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) portfolio for wire and cables, following the development of durable polymers with zero halogens (ZHF). The Estane ZHF polymer series includes several new resins that meet UL and VDE requirements. Engineered Polymers
