Rotary straightening is a process for a wide variety of parts made from wire or pipe. Dr Peter Renz, CEO of Jouhsen-bündgens, explained, “Rotary straightening o ers the best options here, whether our customers want to produce thin and straight components, thick and right-angled ones, or short parts with a pro le.”
industry leaders who saw that wire and cable was an under-represented sector of a growing industry. Today we see just how much the industry has grown in that 50 years, driving modern communication systems, transport infrastructure and the Internet – wire and cable products literally connect both the world and the sum of human knowledge. It’s an extraordinary progression. “The IWMA is right there with the industry, disseminating technical knowledge, helping members at exhibitions and with international representation, and taking a role in the education of tomorrow’s wire and cable engineers and scientists.”
“With this in mind, we are looking forward to some interesting discussions with customers and potential customers at wire 2020.” Jouhsen-bündgens has been developing machinery for wire processing for over 150 years, and also handles control engineering. As a result, the company can help customers develop smart products through rotary straightening, and also support them during production. Visitors to wire 2020 will be able to watch the PrecisionCut UD0, the company’s newest and smallest straightening and cutting machine, live in action on the stand. The UD0 is helping Jouhsen-bündgens meet the challenges of increasingly thin components and demanding requirements for straightness and surface nish. The machine’s compact size allows it to process both long and short sections of wire measuring 0.05 to 1.5mm in diameter and 3 to 3,000mm in length. A UD0 with roller support will be on show. Jouhsen-bündgens has been producing wire processing machines for more than 150 years, and is active in Europe,
