BeltTS is a well-known name in the cable, wire, pipe and plastic extrusion industries with a long history of relationships with the main players of the market and the cooperative developments of products. One example of this is the shaping of Catroll belts, suitable for the production of high-voltage cables on catenary lines. With its special equipment and know-how, BeltTS is able to realise very speci c pro les. The company opted for the most reliable manufacturing method, obtaining the shapes from a solid: the belt is a rubber body that is only lathed in a second stage of the manufacturing, in order to avoid any chance of delamination. The increase of tensile and pressing forces, speeds and operating temperatures led the development of BeltTS’s rubber recipes. A speci c grey compound with a balanced percentage of natural rubber is reportedly gaining appreciation with customers because of its grip value. The choice of this super-grip compound joined with the use of speci c reinforcement layers allows the best management of vertical pressure in a highly demanding environment, with the bene ts of avoiding slippage and reducing mechanical solicitations on the caterpillar machine. It is available in three di erent hardnesses, all of them preserving the cable and o ering abrasion resistance. BeltTS www.beltts.com
