Two of themajor exhibitions of the year are heavily featured in this new issue of EuroWire . The industry heads Stateside for the biennial Interwire show, staged at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, from 8 th to 11 th May. The industry’s largest and longest-running show in the Americas will see exhibitors, speakers and visitors from more than 50 countries head into town. Machinery features heavily with rst sightings of new technology a regular occurence. The promise of international networking lures visitors from overseas, all intent on establishing or strengthening their foothold in the Americas. The show crosses dozens of vertical industries, including automotive, construction, aerospace, transportation and communications. Running alongside the exhibition will be organiser the Wire Association International’s annual convention. Turn to page 66 for our coverage. Hot on the heels of Interwire is wire Russia, being held in Moscow from 5 th to 8 th June. Organisers Messe Düsseldorf have high expectations for the show after exhibitors two years ago were full of praise for the decision-making trade audience. Despite a tight economic situation overall in the country, companies see the exhibition as the ideal opportunity to place their products on the Russian market.
