Awards time for UK cable firm

Rochdale, UK-based design and manufacturing company Slingco has beaten off competition to win the International Company of the Year Award (up to £10m turnover) at the 2015 Insider North West International Trade Awards. With offices in Atlanta serving North and South America, and a manufacturing base established in Bangalore, India, Slingco supplies cable installation and support products on a global scale. Impressive development of staff and engagement in an international culture particularly impressed the judging panel at the black tie award ceremony, held in Manchester, UK. The judges also praised the leadership of Nick Dykins and the well-focused management team. Since its foundation in 1980, Slingco has designed, produced and supplied cable installation and support products, wire rope assemblies and more, to industries as varied as oil and gas, marine and offshore, public utilities, civil engineering, aerospace, transport, the military, performing arts, vehicle building and construction.
