Several contacted Polyplast Müller to develop compounds with high reserves in tensile strength in combination with excellent cold exibility values. In between the PolyCable IC series are commercialised. Cables produced with those compounds show values over 28 MPa with a temperature range from -60°C to +105°C. cable producers

Over the last ve years, PolyCable compounds from Polyplast Müller have been proven in automotive cables. With the PolyCable AM series, the company has developed a broad range of compounds for di erent applications. The PolyCable AM series stands for high uid and abrasion resistance in combination with a cold exibility to -40°C and high reverse bending resistance. Due to the thermoplastic polymer base and the well-balanced formulation, the material is easy to extrude, and an additional crosslinking step is not necessary. PolyCable AM compounds are available from Shore D30 to Shore D60 and are designed for cable constructions according to LV 122(T3) and ISO 6722 (class C) and drag-chain applications.
