Lubricant firm gets royal vote in King’s Award Metalube Group (incorporating lubricant brands Metalube, Molyslip and Vapor-Tek) has won The King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2023 – the UK’s highest accolade for business success. The company has been recognised for outstanding continuous growth in overseas sales over the past five years. This is the third time Metalube Group has been recognised, having won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2013 and for Innovation in 2014.
Commenting on the award, managing director Robert Brown said, “Our international business strategy has led to the penetration of new markets and a more diversified portfolio of clients. “In a time that has been challenging for everyone, the team at Metalube Group has worked harder than ever to achieve remarkable international growth. This has provided us with further security and stability in an ever-changing market affected by Covid, and it’s great to see that UK innovation and international growth within the manufacturing sector are being recognised by the King’s Awards.” The award will be presented by the Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester later this year, and a reception will be held at Buckingham Palace in July. New touchscreen-operated hardness testing machines

ZwickRoell Indentec has introduced new touchscreen Rockwell hardness testing instruments. The product line is available in two variants, the ZHR4150 and ZHR8150, to accommodate either classic Rockwell or combined Rockwell and Superficial Rockwell hardness testing, respectively. The touchscreen interface has been designed to offer a simple user experience, for easy setting up of test parameters, testing procedure and results handling. The language can be selected at the push of a button. The basic interface offers a simple, easy-to-use and -read display.
