equipment for die maintenance, meas- urement and inspection of wire drawing dies, allowing it to offer customers worldwide the necessary equipment and tools to operate an in-house re-cutting service. Fort Wayne Wire Die’s corporate offices, including engineering, research and development, and administration, are located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. The company’s products are sold by direct sales engineers in North America; through sales offices Fortek GmbH (Europe), Fort Wayne Wire Die (Philippines) Inc (Asia),
The product line has since expanded to include polycrystalline diamond dies, tungsten carbide dies, shaped profile dies, extrusion tips and dies, and other wear parts for the wire industry. It also provides re-cutting and recondi- tioning services for diamond and carbide dies, and supplies new and re-cut matched elongation die sets for high- speed, multi-wire drawing machines. The company offers a complete line of

All temperatures and pressures are graphed for easy visualisation of the process trends. Alarms are logged along with the time and date of the incident. This data is critical for product quality assurance and standards compliance such as ISO 9001.
Ixon Cloud 2 provides fast PLC access over a secure network, with real-time remote monitoring and control of production indicators using online dashboards. Operators can connect to the process line via computer or smartphone. Options include cloud data logging and alarm notifications to mobile devices. Next-generation single-axis diameter measurement
NDC Technologies, a provider of connected measurement and control solutions, is known for its Beta LaserMike product line of gauging solutions for the wire, cable, pipe and tube industries. Over the years, the company has intro- duced a number of diameter measure- ment systems, including the industry’s only four-axis gauge. Responding to customer needs, the R&D team at NDC has unveiled a new diameter gauging system. The AccuScan Pro Series is the company’s latest solution in single- axis diameter measurement, and offers precision and performance. The gauging system is built on the same optical engine and electronics platforms as the Beta LaserMike AccuScan range of gauges. Designed with a compact footprint, the AccuScan Pro Series offers application versatility. It can be easily integrated into the process for real-time control of
product diameter, or can be used as a stand-alone solution for off-line diameter applications. Claimed benefits include higher product quality and material savings. The AccuScan Pro Series can be used to measure plastic pipe/hose/tube, cord, rods, wire, cable and other extruded or drawn cylindrical, flat or unique profile products. The system accurately measures product diameters up to 100mm (3.94") across a wide range of applications, either on- or off-line. Two or more AccuScan Pro gauges can be stacked to measure larger diameters, and to perform single-scan flaw detection of lump and neckdowns for product quality control. A multi-strand option accurately and reliably measures up to 12 diameters simultaneously, for 100 per cent on-line inspection of multi-strand wire.
A variety of communication protocols are supported for easy integration into processes. All systems are backed by NDC’s dedicated worldwide customer service organisation, available 24 hours a day via the myNDC cloud service. NDC Technologies Inc www.ndc.com
