IWMA (International Wire & Machinery Association), ACIMAF (Italian Wire Machinery Manufacturers Association), WCISA (Wire and Cable Industry Suppliers Association) and ITA (International Tube Association). The Indian industry associations SWMAI (Steel Wire Manufacturers Association of India), AIWMA (All India Weldmesh Manufacturers’ Association), INSDAG (Institute for Steel Development & Growth) and SSPC India (The Society for Surface Protective Coatings – India) supported their trade fairs. In 2024, the four trade fairs will again be held at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Center, from 27 to 29 November. Swedish wire machinery manufacturer Lämneå Bruk reported that its stand at wire India was highly popular. Company president Jonas Hagstedt sum marised wire India as entirely positive. Comparing the 2022 event to previous shows, he said that “visitors returned to the usual crowd with overall less senior management and decision-makers pre sent. From 23 to 25 November 2022, the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Center in Mumbai, India, served as the meeting point for the regional trade fairs of the wire, cable, pipe and tube industries, as well as the metallurgical, welding and cutting sectors. Four trade fairs – wire India, Tube India, METEC India and India Essen Welding & Cutting – with a total of 400 exhibitors from 21 countries presented current technologies, machinery, finished products and solutions for their respective industry sectors over three trade fair days. In addition to Indian companies, most European exhibitors came from the Benelux countries, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the UK, Scandinavia, Turkey, France and Spain. Other companies travelled from the USA, Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, South Africa and China. The trade fairs also featured national joint participations from Switzerland, Italy and Germany. The exhibits were complemented by a comprehensive conference programme.
