Alloy Wire International, a specialist producer of nickel alloys, has been confirmed as carbon neutral after committing to a number of internationally approved initiatives.

Designed to offset emissions created at its two factories supplying customers worldwide, the company will neutralise 500 tonnes of carbon by taking an active role in Certified Emission Reductions programmes that also support education, employment and clean water. This also serves to have a net positive impact on the local wildlife and ecology, and could include hydroelectric power in the Amazon, the Burgos Wind Farm and the African Cooking Stove programme, as well as a number of domestic initiatives. The company, which provides handling, warehousing, supply chain and delivery services of wire, cable and electrical components, will be celebrating the milestone over the next year across its sites in Michigan, Georgia and Iowa.
