NewYear, new owners

There is nothing quite like starting the NewYear with good news – especially for French lubricant producer Condat. The company, based in Lyon, has expanded through the acquisition of Italian company Kemno. The deal will increase Condat’s diversification strategy, especially in relation to the fasteners and machining industry, whilst giving Kemno the backing of an international group. A family business, Kemno – founded in 2004 – specialises in the production of neat and soluble coolants. Turn to page 8 for the full story. Also investing in the future is another French company – Contrôle Mesure Systèmes – which has moved to newly built premises in Burgundy after outgrowing its premises of more than 20 years. The move will allow CMS to expand its team and hire new talent as it continues to grow. With plans already in place for a developer to join the IT team, a designer for the mechanical design office and a marketing department will allow the brand to reinforce its communication and digital strategy.
