Steel wire and rope production equipment Eurodraw produces a complete range of equipment for the production of steel wire and ropes. The company has four main product ranges: wire drawing machines – dry and wet type and cold rolling lines with various types of payoff, descaler and take-up; stranding and cabling equipment for the production of strands and ropes, skip type, tubular type and double twist type; mono wire and multi-wire surface treatment and plating equipment with payoff and take-ups; and stick electrode and welding wire production equipment. stranding machine, which has been designed to be an efficient replacement for small tubular machines with spool sizes up to 400mm for the production of 1+6 wire strands. This double twist machine is an evolution of the DT range of machines, which are now available in spool sizes of 250, 315, 355 and now 400mm, specifically designed to produce elementary strands composed of 6+1 wires, safely, efficiently and at high speed. strand is collected on a spooler outside the machine. The largest DT (6+1)/400 model can produce strands up to 3.2mm in diameter, galvanised or uncoated, at speeds of up to 4,000 twists/min. As the machine can be loaded with seven 400mm spools, which hold 200kg of wire each, it is possible to produce a 1,400kg spool of strand in one run. As the strand is collected outside the machine, this is a possible installation location for a compacting cassette in order to manufacture compacted strands as well as normal strands.
The DT (6+1) machines range have an in-out configuration: the filament wires are inside the machine cradle and the

The claimed benefits of the DT (6+1)/400 buncher are higher speed, lower space requirement, complete safety and noise below 78 dBA. The loading of filament spools is quick and easy. The innovative filament wire tensioning system is accurate, stable and consistent, and does not depend on the friction and centrifugal forces that single wires are subject to when travelling through a tubular strander and that require different brake adjustments at each spool. EurodrawWire Equipment Srl www.gcreurodraw.com Stainless steel and low carbon wire ASAP Srl offers wire in stainless steel annealed, semi-hard and hard; low carbon steel wire, annealed, zinc-coated or white annealed; high carbon steel wire, bright or galvanised and brass coated; non-ferrous alloys such as phosphorous bronze; and brass coated and various metal alloys and in ultra-fine stainless wire. The company’s stainless steel and low carbon zinc coated wire ranges from 0.1 to 6mm in diameter. ASAP imports and resells, offering wire to Europe and other countries with direct sales, supplied just-in-time by truck, or in full containers. All wires are supplied in accordance with ISO 9001 and RoHS/REACH rules, and certified to EN 10204. ASAP Srl www.asapasap.it

Expandable take-apart reel A take-apart reel from Boxy SpA, which can be used either between pintles or on a shaft, has an expandable barrel that allows the wire coil to be lifted and transferred once made.
Crane hooks engage in two specific positions so that the barrel expands and takes hold of the coil. When the coil is ready to be placed on a pallet or on the floor, the hooks engage in other specific positions so that the barrel sectors are kept in position and the coil is released. This helps save time and makes the purchase of a coil lifter unnecessary. The Boxy Koiler take-apart reel is also machined on the barrel and flange rims, and is dynamically balanced. Boxy provides a range of metal spools and drums for the wire and cable industry, as well as special equipment for reel/coil handling, such as electro-
