While the cancellation of trade fair events during the coronavirus pandemic has had a negative impact, the company has adapted by holding online webinars to meet customers and business partners. One of Tramev’s most recent projects is a new battery-powered portable wire straightener for up to ø 32mm wire. Extrusion expertise Cerrini was founded in 1946 by Paolo Cerrini in Busto Arsizio, near Milan, Italy, and has become a producer of highly engineered, value-added extrusion systems for the cable industry. The company also supplies silicone safety cables – insulation and sheathing silicone extrusion lines with infrared and salt bath vulcanisation systems, as well as automotive cables, submarine cables, steel wire ropes, telephone and LAN cables, fibre optics and coaxial cables. A new design of rubber/silicone extruder – TG 120/15D – for high-speed extrusion lines was recently developed. Special silicone/rubber extruders from 45 to 160mm are available. The latest generation of water thermoregulation system ensures compound cooling and controlled extrusion temperature. The matched anti-wear materials for barrel and screw allow their maximum duration over time, even with highly loaded compounds. The TG 120/15D extruder is suitable for high-speed silicone cable lines, where the infrared vulcanisation system ensures high process repeatability and stable cable characteristics. In addition to complete lines, Cerrini delivers extrusion line components such as payoffs, take-ups, extruders, haul-off units, accumulators and cooling troughs, tailored to customer requirements.
