Rotating die holder for extended die lifetime Swedish wire machinery manufacturer Lämneå Bruk offers three different drawing machines, a straight line, a loop and a control line, all designed for user-friendliness and with a flexible block set-up. Understanding the importance of uninterrupted production and the maintenance of equipment and machinery, Lämneå Bruk also offers a rotating die holder, suitable for any wire type, as an optional purchase with the drawing machines. The die box is equipped with a compartment for the dry or wet soap drawing lubrication and a rotating cooling body for the die. The soap box can be customised, depending on the customer’s requirements. The cooling body is made for customer-specific die sizes and can be manufactured with direct or indirect cooling. The die box is mounted on a cast and helix adjustment plate and can be adjusted in both horizontal and vertical planes for fine-tuning of the cast and helix. A special vibration damper minimises wire vibrations between the die and the block. With a rotating die holder, the lifetime of the die is extended and the wire is rounder. With more lubricant on the wire, the quality of the finished product also improves. Depending on the customer’s requirements, rotating die holders are available in different designs from two to 14 tons pulling force.

Tailor-made composite bows for all cables C2S offers a comprehensive range of more than 600 bow designs for all brands, adapted to customer specifications. With Setic’s 70 years of experience in double twist machines, the C2S bow division offers a complete service, from design work to worldwide express distribution, based on advanced materials and a large number of components, as well as evaluation trials. The bow team searches for the best solution to meet production requirements on high speed equipment for insulated cables, 630/800mm bunchers and large double twist cablers/stranders (Cortinovis, Lesmo, Caballe, Setic, etc), either for copper ropes or insulated bundles. All essential criteria are discussed in detail with the customer’s maintenance and production workforce. The bow division also proposes the patented GreenBow, available for Niehoff D630/D631, Samp BM630, Lesmo DTO-630 and Setic TA630Ki/TA630Ni/TD-TC630i. The exclusive design should appeal to bare copper producers looking for energy savings and quality production. A clean line shape and protected wire path enhance the double twist machine’s performance. Comfort of use is also improved by better air penetration/noise reduction. For the final cable, better characteristics are obtained as wires are protected from aerodynamic turbulence.
