Shanghai Wangxun New Material Co Ltd (SHWX, previously Shanghai Wangxun Optic Fiber Co Ltd) is an established supplier of fibre optic cable and power cable. Shanghai Wangxun products are widely applied in various kinds of cables such as optic fibre cable, telecommunication cable, power cable, submarine cable, optical fibre compound overhead ground wire (OPGW), control cable, signal cable and track cable. Shanghai Wangxun products are also used for magnetic apparatus, cold/hot water pipe and flexible packing. Research and development in Shanghai Wangxun is exclusive, with the company owning 100% of intellectual property rights, and six invention patents. Further, SHWX was involved in the stipulation of China’s new telecommunication industry standards, YD/723-2007 laminated metal plastic strip for telecommunication cable and optical fibre cable. SHWX has a significant market share in China. Many orders from China’s telecom operators specify that SHWX’s products be used and regular clients include China Mobile, China Telecom, China Netcom, China Unicom and China Tietong. Zhenxiong Copper (Thailand) Co Ltd is the factory of Zhenxiong Copper Group Co Ltd, opened in February 2008 in Rayong Industrial District, Thailand. In order to supply good quality products, Zhenxiong Copper made a huge investment in hardware and software. Major equipment was imported from Niehoff in Germany, initially a rod breakdown drawing machine, an electroplating machine and ten multi-wire drawing machines. Other machines were imported from Japan and China. Zhenxiong (Thailand) attained ISO9001:2000 certification in August 2008 and will shortly achieve ISO14001. Its main products are all types of copper wire, mainly for export. Capacity for fine wires is 1,500t per month.
