New contract with Electrocab for PS Costruzioni

PS Costruzioni Meccaniche Srl has been awarded another large contract with Electrocab, a cable manufacturer from Emirates. The contract consists of four automatic winding machines, both coiling and spooling types. Two PS machines are to be installed at Electrocab’s branch in Saudi Arabia, while the other two will be sent to Cablet Djazair’s plant in Algeria . This contract includes a fully automatic double-headed spooling line, PS 200/6-B. It can produce four spools, of 100m lengths, per minute. Cable cross sections can vary from 0.65mm 2 up to 6.53mm 2 (AWG from 19 up to 9). The enhanced features are most noticeable in regard to the restart time between a wound spool and an empty one: while the first spooling head is winding the cable, the second head has completed the winding cycle thus enabling the final spool to automatically proceed to the palletising area. The contract also includes two automatic coiling machines, these are: PS 350/8: suitable for flexible cables from 2mm to 8mm diameter and solid cables from 2mm to 4.5mm diameter. It can also wind flat cables. It will produce 6.5 x 100m coils per minute. PS 470/16: suitable for flexible cables from 5mm to 16mm diameter and solid cables from 5mm to 10mm diameter. It can also wind flat cables and can be equipped with automatic tension control for telephone cables. Production rate is 3 x 100m coils per minute.
