Mobile energy saving furnace A new electrical furnace from Agibi Progetti Srl is mounted on a Demag truck, which moves with accurate and regular motion over a railway. Behind the furnace a chain push-pull system, fixed to the structure, takes off the baskets from bearing frames, which slide on cast iron wheels. Hooking and dropping are handled from mechanical cams. The programming of the parameters is self-governing for all the stations and is controlled from an industrial PC with touch screen monitor. The company’s patented NSS (No Smoke System), requiring no hoods or stacks, allows the free motion of the furnace. Exclusive insulation technology increases energy savings up to a claimed 50%. The foundation and stations are clamped on the ground, reducing the working space required. To improve safety for the operators, loading of the baskets is carried out with an elevator truck, and the space in front of the stations is completely free. The furnace is always moving empty and therefore with uniform weight, resulting in a fine and accurate regulation, and a laser system checks the positions. As the system is modular it is possible to purchase the furnace in a convenient two- station configuration, and subsequently upgrade to up to six stations.

Enkotec’s product range includes various machines supplied as stand-alone units or in-line systems. The company’s in-line nail manufacturing solutions feature a balanced combination of systems and modern technology. The high-capacity nail machines of the NX series are designed according to a modular principle with a basic machine and six machine variants. Enkotec has widened the dimension range of its nail manufacturing machines, making it possible to cover nail lengths from 32 to

range of nail machines. Many tooling parts are common for all machine models, increasing their cost effectiveness. Enkotec’s TA01 thread rolling machine has been specially designed for making screw shank or annular nail profiles with a production speed of up to 2,500 nails per minute. The working area of the TA01 is ø1.8 to 4.2mm (0.071" to 0.165") x 32 to 105mm (1¼" to 4") nail lengthwith a profile height of 27 to 76mm (1.06" to 3"). Apart from high production capacity, the TA01 incorporates advantages such as high-

130mm (1¼" to 5 1 / 8 "), and wire diameters from ø1.8 to 4.2mm (0.071" to 0.165"). The NX machines are supplied with a PLC control system and touch screen operator interface, which is easy to navigate and allows quick set-up of nail parameters. The company’s latest nail machine, type MI01, is intended for small and mid-size capacity needs, and can produce 1,000 nails per minute at ø2.3 to 3.8mm (0.09" to 0.15"), and nail lengths from 50 to 90mm (2" to 3½"). The MI01 features simple adjustments, quick tooling changeovers, easy access for cleaning and service, and long tooling life. Enkotec sees its MI01 model as a strong alternative for its customers’ capacity needs, whether they produce one single nail type or several different nails. The MI01 combined with its high-end NX series allows Enkotec to offer a complete

quality output, high stability, quick tooling changeovers, simple adjustments, and low noise level. The machine is capable of running in-line in a nail manufacturing line or as a stand-alone machine. The latest innovation from Enkotec is the NCP02 movable, stand-alone packaging machine. The system offers the possibility of in-line nail production in a complete, automated manufacturing process. The NCP02 automatically feeds the nail cartons, fills them with the accurate number of nails and transports the cartons via automatic drive belt conveyors. All of this can be performed in-line with a standard Enkotec nail machine or thread rolling machine. Enkotec A/S – Denmark Fax : +45 8652 4199 Email : sales@enkotec.dk Website : www.enkotec.com
