DANDONg Taico Minerals Co specialises
in the manufacture of brucite-based
magnesium hydroxide flame retardant
products.
Made from local natural brucite
minerals, Taicocite® is the name of milled
magnesium hydroxide products which are
produced (micronised/surface treated) by
Dandong Taico.
Taicocite® magnesium hydroxides are
effective flame retardant fillers for
polymeric materials, achieving high
values of limiting oxygen index, smoke
emission reduction and toxic gas
absorption.
Taicocite® flame retardants are odourless,
non-toxic, white micronised powder of
normal size distribution. According to
requirements from different customers,
Taicocite® flame retardants are provided
with different size distributions, specific
surface area and surface modifications
to bring the final products different
properties.
The surface modifications could bring the
following properties:
• Better specific surface area
• improved compatibility and dispersion
lluniformity
• enhanced flame retardant performance
• increased colour stability
• improved physical properties
• improved electrical performance (lower
llconductivity)
• less equipment abrasion
• Higher throughput rates

ToughFlex™ offers a smaller size
compared to traditional Category cables,
improved flexibility and a smaller bend
radius while maximising the ease of
installation.
The rugged construction, featuring
an inner TPe belt and an overall
polyurethane jacket, provides improved
crush and chemical resistance.
ToughFlex™ is manufactured with a 90%
braid shield to resist interference from
environmental noise and is compliant
with Cat 5e electrical performance
specifications to a distance of 65m
(213ft). C&M offers ToughFlex™ as bulk
cable or cable assemblies.
