payo bobbins, keeping the magazines
topped up with empty spools, and
helping to unload the nished spools
from the storage conveyors. The
machine automatically calculates the
wire diameter and compensates for any
tolerances in the wire diameter when
precision layer respooling.
In the case of an error in layer respooling,
the machine will automatically stop and
reverse to where the error occurred. It will
then attempt respooling a set number
of times, or nish the spool randomly,
depending on what the machine has
been programmed to do.
The machine will automatically place
an empty spool on the machine, hook
the wire onto it and then start spooling.
Once terminated, the nished spool
is automatically discharged and the
cycle begins again – all at a speed in
excess of 35m/sec. It can use di erent
types of spools (wire baskets, plastic or
breboard), with a short changeover time
from one format to another.
The user interface is simple and user-
friendly, featuring a large synoptic
display with touch-screen controls for
all functions. A LAN connection allows
software updates and PLC checks directly
from Gimax Engineering.
