Dies & die shop equipment XA Series of die finishers

Die Quip manufactures die-finishing equipment to re-work tungsten carbide dies from 0.5mm-125mm diameter with fully automatic through to manual machines to suit the polishing or re-cutting needs of every mill. Die Quip design and construction is based on time-tested machine building principles to provide long production life.

The Die Flex series is the latest line of machines. The XA is an automated angle polishing and sizing machine that automatically cycles a die from a preloaded magazine into the working chuck. After polishing or sizing the robotic arm places the worked die back into the magazine for additional processing or into a collection bin. The second model in the series is the semi-automatic MA version of the XA, where the operator changes the die after the programmed cycle finishes. DS/2 Die Saver is a multi-purpose manual grinding and semi-automatic polishing machine for re-working dies. The DS2 has a powerful grinding spindle, precision angle setting and heavy-duty construction. Wire or bar mills that use larger than 6mm diameter dies can use the BG6 die grinder, featuring the most powerful grinding spindle available (1.2 kW). This power, combined with a 12˚ grinding concept and special polishing pins, will provide finished dies with no hand polishing to a 2-4 Ra finish.
