Automatic coil winding lines

PS automatic lines can work either on-line, as a slave to the extruder, or as an autonomous final station. The coiling lines are equipped with strapping machines, thermo-shrinking tunnels, boxing machines, stackers and palletisers. The range includes: PS 350/8: suitable for flexible cables from 1.5mm to 8mm diameter and solid cables from 1.5mm to 6mm diameter. It can also wind flat cables. It will produce 5 x100m coils per minute. PS 470/16: suitable for flexible cables from 5mm to 16mm diameter and solid cables from 5mm to 10mm diameter. It can also wind flat cables and can be equipped with automatic tension control for telephone cables. Production rate is 3.5 x 100m coils per minute. PS 600/25: suitable for flexible cables from 8mm to 25mm diameter and solid cables from 8mm to 20mm diameter with a production of 2.5 – 3 x 100m coils per minute. PS 750/30: suitable for flexible cables from 8mm to 30mm diameter with a production of 2.5 x 100m coils per minute. PS Costruzioni Meccaniche has been designing and manufacturing wire and cable packaging plants for over 35 years. RG Attachments has added an extra- long Tapeformer to the range. Developed in response to a specific customer request, the extra-long Tapeformer fits inside the centre of a braiding machine to wrap shielding around the cable before the braiding is applied. Any length or width of Tapeformer can be manufactured to suit any individual application. As an option, Teflon inserts can be used to reduce tape friction where necessary. Tapeformer range extended

Quicker clamping and tensioning for spools

Uhing has developed tensioning and clamping systems: U-Clip (for positioning on rotating and non-rotating shafts, such as wind-up and payoff) and Easylock (for rolls, spools and static applications). Both systems are designed to be easily operated with one hand and demand no special tools.
