Exclusive T-model based on expertise
Processing soft platinumwire braid Ormiston Wire has overcome the challenge from a customer of processing the soft metal palladium, offering a new high-strength wire option to its customers using exotic metal.
Euroalpha drawing machines for non-ferrous wires with high technology, a design appreciated by wire and cable manufacturers worldwide. Encouraged by customers, and based on deep technical expertise, Euroalpha has designed a new exclusive intermediate drawing machine, the technology of which goes beyond similar machines currently available on the market. The T-model is a cone-type machine and can be supplied with two, four or six cones, depending on the finished wires to be produced, as well as the inlet wire available. This drawing machine is substantially different from the other cone-type machines: • Multi-motor machine, with one individual motor driving each pair of cones and another individual motor driving the haul-off capstan manufactures
• Thanks to the individual motors for each pair of cones the machines have lower energy consumption, because the motors are switched off if the cones are not used • Final dies, with variable elongations, can be used thanks to the separate motor driving the haul-off capstan. Thanks to this feature the number of dies is reduced: normally one set of dies is fine Euroalpha Srl – Italy Website : www.euroalpha.it ▲ ▲ The T-model drawing machine from Euroalpha

Palladium is the least dense of the platinum-group of metals and has the lowest melting point. It is soft and ductile when annealed and greatly increases its strength and hardness when it is cold-worked. OrmistonWire Ltd – UK Website : www.ormiston-wire.co.uk
